It is so easy to make buttermilk with these starter cultures. Buttermilk has a lovely, slightly sour flavour and can be made at room temperature without using a yoghurt maker. You only need a preserving jar or a glass jar with a lid.
The product consists of 3 sachets of fresh buttermilk cultures. You can make buttermilk for a period of 2 – 3 weeks with a single sachet. Depending on the desired amount, between 400 ml and 1 litre of buttermilk can be made per day.
The starter cultures are entirely natural and contain the original buttermilk bacteria. Homemade buttermilk has great health benefits. Recent research has shown that buttermilk is good for intestinal flora diversity. Not only that, it is a low-fat drink and an excellent source of calcium, protein and vitamin A and B2.
